Is Visitation House a Shelter?

No. Visitation House is not an emergency shelter. Visitation House Ministries provides supportive housing with a fundamental focus on education which is more long term and includes an application and an interview process.

 

Can I work full-time while in the housing program?

The program is focused on education. Your work hours cannot exceed your education hours.

 

Do you accept men in the housing program?

No. Our programs are designed for single women with young children.

 

Do I need a high school diploma to apply?

No. The education program teaches GED in English and in Spanish.

 

Who can participate in the outreach education program?

Women who are participants in the housing program

Any woman from the community-at-large who wants to prepare for her GED.
