Your Gift Will Make a Difference
Your generosity becomes direct, meaningful support for student parents working to build a better future for their families.
- At Visitation House Ministries, we have always
known that education is the most direct path
to independence and family stability. - Nationally, 1 in 5 college students are parents
who face unique and challenging obstacles to
achieving their academic and career goals. - In San Antonio, this number is estimated to be
roughly 27,000. - For the past six months Visitation Ministries has
worked with students, faculty and community
organizations to design a program to support
pregnant and parenting students. - We will pilot this new program in June of 2026
in partnership with UIW, UTSA and several
community organizations.
Your support will help ensure the success of this pilot and the families we strive to serve.
Your generosity becomes direct, meaningful support for student parents
working to build a better future for their families.
After much prayer and discernment, VISITATION HOUSE MINISTRIES is stepping into a new season of our journey. While we will no longer provide housing assistance, this change comes from a deep desire to respond more intentionally to our evolving world and where we are called now.
Beginning this summer, we are excited to launch a new initiative at the University of the Incarnate Word, dedicated to supporting pregnant and parenting students as they pursue higher education. This next step in our journey reflects our ongoing commitment to accompany those most in need with compassion, dignity and meaningful support.
Please keep VISITATION HOUSE MINITRIES in your prayers as we embark on this new direction, remaining steadfast in our commitment to our mission to help economically vulnerable families break generational cycles of poverty and homelessness through education, employment and empowerment.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. We invite you to continue walking with us and to check back here for updates as this new chapter unfolds.
Visitation House Ministries is no longer providing housing assistance. If you or someone you know, is in need of assistance, please see the community resources below:
